God Is His Own Interpreter
Many have misunderstood the role of the prophet, thinking he is the interpreter of the Word. But according to Scripture, “no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation” (2 Peter 1:20). The prophet does not interpret the Word; he simply speaks what God reveals. A prophet is a messenger, a mouthpiece through whom Jesus Christ makes His Word known, not the one who explains or reasons it out. Only God Himself can interpret His Word, and He does so by bringing it to pass exactly as He promised. When God fulfills what He has spoken, that fulfillment becomes the divine interpretation. God alone confirms and interprets His own Word.
